The Southern Gateway Of Malaysia Welcomes MyCEB

JOHOR BAHRU, 23 July 2018: The journey to gather and unite the country’s business events players continues as Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau's (MyCEB) roadshow lands itself in the state of Johor Darul Ta'zim.

The roadshow sees the national bureau's consistent efforts in engaging industry players, state and federal government agencies by forging fruitful working relationships through the promotion of its roles and responsibilities.

"What we can offer in our roadshows are industry insights, on-going strategic consultations, business leads or other opportunities through our powerful networking sessions. We also hope our roadshow will help the state's industry players to raise their capacity, which will lead to increasing the number of DMCs, AMCs and EMCs in Johor focusing on MICE," said Datuk Zulkefli Hj. Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

Taking place at Double Tree by Hilton Johor, the roadshow drew the participation of more than 150 industry stakeholders, indicating a strong show of interest and support towards MyCEB and the industry.

Commenting on Johor and MyCEB's presence, Datuk Zulkefli said that the Southern gateway to Malaysia has grown leaps and bounds over the years. "Undoubtedly rich in history, we also see the rapid developments of state-of-the-art business events products. From convention centres, hotels and meeting spaces, Johor is upping the ante. This is just what the industry needs, every time a business visitor comes to Malaysia, there is always room for inspiration and ideas as well as products to experience."

The MyCEB roadshow carefully curates contents and is designed to provide stakeholders with market intelligence matched with strategic business opportunities, generating viable leads for participants.

Confident with the outcome of the roadshow, Datuk Zulkefli is hopeful for the future. "MyCEB's presence in Johor demonstrates our objectives to boost the number of business events players by encouraging them to come forth as well as to spread the word to potential leads and clients. As a non-profit organisation, the Bureau is always looking to discover new product offerings and provide the avenue to market these products internationally."
