INDONESIA ROADSHOW 2026
INDONESIA ROADSHOW 2026
INDONESIA, 20 August 2026 – The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), has successfully concluded its Indonesia Roadshow 2026 in Surabaya and Jakarta, reinforcing Malaysia's position as a preferred Business Events (BE) destination while strengthening industry collaboration with the Indonesian market.

As one of Malaysia's key Business Events source markets, Indonesia continues to offer strong growth potential, driven by close geographical proximity, excellent air connectivity, long-standing business relationships, and strong cultural affinity. The roadshow brought together 20 Malaysian industry partners with Indonesian travel agencies, corporate meeting planners, incentive houses, and key Business Events stakeholders to foster new partnerships and generate future business opportunities.

The programme featured a series of business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, and destination presentations, providing Malaysian exhibitors with the opportunity to showcase the country's world-class venues, diverse destination experiences, seamless connectivity, and comprehensive support services for Business Events, encompassing meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions.
❝
Indonesia remains one of Malaysia's most important Business Events markets, and strengthening our engagement with industry partners here is a key priority for MyCEB. Through this roadshow, we reaffirm our commitment to building stronger partnerships, creating new business opportunities, and showcasing Malaysia's strengths as a world-class Business Events destination. Beyond our excellent infrastructure and venues, we offer organisers seamless support, diverse experiences, and the renowned Malaysian hospitality that makes every event truly memorable.

Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB

The roadshow also served as a valuable platform to reconnect with long-standing industry partners while establishing new relationships that will support sustainable business growth. As regional business travel continues to gain momentum, closer collaboration between Malaysia and Indonesia is expected to generate more high-value Business Events and strengthen business exchanges between the two countries.

Held in support of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), the initiative forms part of MyCEB's ongoing international market development strategy to attract more meetings, incentive travel, conferences, and exhibitions to Malaysia. Business Events remain a high-value tourism segment, delivering significant economic impact through increased visitor spending, longer lengths of stay, and broader benefits across the hospitality, transportation, retail, food and beverage, and tourism industries.

With Indonesia continuing to be one of Malaysia's key regional markets, MyCEB remains committed to working closely with industry stakeholders to attract quality Business Events that drive economic growth, enhance regional collaboration, and further strengthen Malaysia's position as the leading Business Events destination in Southeast Asia.
