Malaysia’s Business Events Industry Surges Ahead With New, Unique Experiential Rewards Programme

Frankfurt, 21 May 2019: Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MoTAC) unveiled the exciting and experiential Malaysia Twin Deal Vibes (MTD V) rewards programme, offering more added value rewards at IMEX Frankfurt 2019 which begins here today.
YB. Datuk Mohamaddin bin Ketapi, Minister of MOTAC is attending this year's tradeshow partaking in the Policy Forum which brings together influential industry leaders to engage national and local governments in the advancement of our industry with the strategy to create a positive legacy.

In addition, he will be at the Malaysia Pavilion (B200) to officiate the launch of the enhanced Malaysia Like Never Before campaign and Malaysia Twin Deal promotion which is a global promotional campaign to promote Malaysia as an incentive destination offering exciting experiences, value ads and rewards.

"This is Malaysia's ninth year of participation in the IMEX Frankfurt aimed at promoting the country in the European business events market. MyCEB, an agency under MOTAC has been actively explores strategies to secure regional and international corporate meetings and incentive travel groups, it is their core responsibility for developing and promoting Malaysia's corporate meeting and incentive product offerings,” said Datuk Mohamaddin bin Ketapi, Minister of MOTAC.

"This time around, we are proud to bring a new initiative with our mission to IMEX Frankfurt. It is a pleasure for me to announce the availability of Malaysia Twin Deal Vibes, or MTD V where event planners will be able to reap the benefits in the form of rewards by bringing in more corporate meetings and incentives to Malaysia,” he continued.

Following a similar concept as the MTD XP programme, the MTD V maintains the incentive Deal 1 and Deal 2 which offer rewards for both meeting planners and corporate clients, to further enhances the success of their events. Deal 1 of MTD V offers international corporate meeting and incentive groups with a minimum of 30 participants, various value-added support where larger groups stand to gain more, such as complimentary welcome banner in both digital and physical form, photo booth during gala night, cultural performance and partial sponsorship for dinner.

Deal 2 offers incentive rewards for international corporate meeting and incentive planners and is based on cumulative numbers of participants. The corporate meeting and incentive planners will stand a chance to be rewarded with iPad, a holiday for two to Kuala Lumpur and a holiday for two to any two preferred destinations in Malaysia. Additionally, the MTD V reward programme also includes special cumulative rewards for planners with a minimum of 3,000 participants for an educational trip to Malaysia. The MTD V is applicable for booking period from 1 April 2019 – 30 November 2020 and before the arrival period of 31st December 2020.

The MTD V programme that aims to provide more interesting options and ideas for planners, will support the highly popular Malaysia Like Never Before (MNLB) campaign which highlights the unique and five key Malaysian destinations: Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, for event planners and is specially customised to the corporate meeting and incentives market.

At IMEX Frankfurt 2019, MyCEB has set up a special booth located at B200 showcasing a hive of activities offered under MLNB for visitors to enjoy. Malaysia's has been participating annually at the important IMEX Frankfurt to promote the country in the international business events market while strengthening and increasing Malaysia's visibility as an attractive business events destination market.
