MALAYSIA ‘SPICES UP’ BUSINESS EVENTS WITH FRESH ENERGY AND CONNECTIONS AT MBEW 2025

Malaysia Expands Global Reach as MyCEB Launches MyTripleE 2.0 at IBTM World 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 JULY 2025 – The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is proud to present the 10th edition of its flagship event, Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2025, set to take place from 4 - 6 August 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. Since its inception in 2014, MBEW has grown into a national platform that unites Malaysia’s Business Events community in a vibrant ecosystem of learning, collaboration, innovation, and growth.

A Decade of Dynamism, A New Flavour of Impact

This milestone year returns with a bold and culturally inspired theme “Spicing Up Business Events”. Inspired by Malaysia’s iconic spice heritage, the theme symbolizes the diverse and dynamic pillars of the Business Events experience:

• Cinnamon for strategic planning,
• Star anise for seamless execution,
• Cloves for vibrant networking, and
• Cardamom for forward-thinking innovation.

These elements capture the essence of what MBEW delivers: a unique blend of strategy, creativity, and energy that continues to elevate the Malaysian Business Events industry.

Driving Real Business Outcomes and Strategic Growth

MBEW 2025 will span three days, with the core event held from 4 - 6 August, drawing over 450 delegates from across the Business Events ecosystem. The event launches with BE Xchange on 4 August 2025, which is an exclusive business matching segment that features around 40 organizations as exhibitors and 40 hosted buyers, fostering high-value meetings and cross-border partnerships.

On Educational Days (5 - 6 August), attendees can expect a rich program of keynote speeches, expert panels, and breakout sessions, each designed to inspire, inform, and ignite collaboration. Topics will explore global trends, industry resilience, leadership strategies, and digital transformation in Business Events

A Celebration of Culture, Innovation, and Purpose

A key highlight of this year’s edition is the SPICE Market Networking Session, an immersive cultural experience that brings to life the vibrant spirit of the history of the Melaka Sultanate. This dynamic networking evening recreates the energy of Malaysia’s ancient spice trade, celebrating its multicultural legacy and hospitality.

Additionally, hosted buyers will have the opportunity to join technical visits to key venues and facilities, offering firsthand insight into Malaysia’s Business Events infrastructure. A special Hands-Only CPR course will also be available in partnership with the National Heart Association of Malaysia, in collaboration with IMU University and IMU Healthcare, as part of an engaging ice-breaking session that promotes wellness.

Delegates will also be encouraged to participate in a series of wellness-focused activities, including basic health screenings, dental check-ups, and spine assessments at the IMU booth, highlighting the importance of community wellness as an integral part of the Business Events experience.

To further enhance the sensory experience, a shoulder therapy session by visually impaired masseuses will be offered on the show floor during coffee breaks, providing delegates with a unique moment of relaxation and mindfulness.

Positioning Malaysia as Asia’s Premier Business Events Hub

MBEW 2025 is more than just an event; it’s a movement to build long-term capacity, capability, and connectivity within the industry. It equips professionals with real-world knowledge, promotes cross-sector engagement, and encourages innovation to futureproof Malaysia’s position in the global Business Events arena.

From strengthening stakeholder linkages to inspiring transformational ideas, MBEW 2025 plays a critical role in advancing Malaysia’s ambition to be a vibrant, world-class hub for Business Events in Asia.
