PUTRAJAYA – 5 MAY 2025: The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Tan Mei Phing as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 21 April 2025. This appointment marks a significant milestone in MyCEB's journey as she steps into this leadership role, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the Business Events industry and a proven track record of success within the bureau.

Tan Mei Phing’s appointment as CEO is pivotal for MyCEB as the organization continues to expand its influence and impact on the global stage. She will oversee the strategic direction, financial planning, and operational execution of MyCEB's initiatives, ensuring the bureau’s continued growth and reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a premier destination for Business Events. Her expertise in Business Events, along with extensive industry knowledge, positions her to lead MyCEB into its next phase with confidence and vision.

Throughout her 13-year tenure at MyCEB, Miss Tan Mei Phing has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a keen understanding of the Business Events landscape. Prior to this appointment, she successfully managed several key divisions as Acting CEO, including Event Facilitation, Sales, Marketing & Branding, Industry Development, Public Relations & Communications, and Market Intelligence. Her strategic insight in these areas has been instrumental in elevating Malaysia's profile as a leading hub for international Business Events and Conferences.

Miss Tan Mei Phing’s distinguished career in the Business Events sector, also known as the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) industry, includes significant involvement in numerous major international conferences hosted in Malaysia. She began her career with an international Destination Management Company (DMC), where she gained valuable experience in event management. This experience was further enhanced in her role as a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), where she honed her skills in bidding for and managing large-scale events, solidifying her reputation as a seasoned professional in the field.

As CEO, Miss Tan Mei Phing is expected to continue driving MyCEB's mission to position Malaysia as a top choice for global Business Events, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the industry.
